# Copy Collection

* **Clone a collection with one call**: [Copy Collection](/reference/collections/copy) (`POST /v2/collections/{collection_name}/copy`) copies a collection, documents and vectors included, under a new name in the same environment. Vectors are branched server-side rather than re-embedded, so nothing is re-parsed, and the copy completes in about a second at any collection size. The copy is fully independent: writes and deletes on either collection never affect the other. A copy costs a flat 10 credits, billed only when it succeeds.
